Mushrooms: Magic, Medicine, and Lore

It won't be long before mushrooms will start emerging... in fact, I often gather some mushrooms in the winter, so now is a great time to learn more about mushrooms. And of course, I can't help but infuse each lesson with some stories or speculations on the magical mystical possibilities of mushrooms. Whether coming from ancient legends or contemporary research, mushrooms can bring healing into everyday living.

Welcome

Mushrooms, mysterious and once feared, can be powerful allies for protecting the planet from the ecological injury that we inflict.

~ Paul Stamets, Mycelium Running

People like Paul Stamets and myself see that mushrooms play a vital role in planetary healing, if we choose to harness that power. Mushrooms are the original composters, turning death into life, turning waste into fuel and food, capturing poisons so they may be isolated or stabilized.

My intention in creating this course is that you will learn how to choose and process mushrooms to heal your spirit, mind, and body. Become inspired by what you learn here. Commit yourself to supporting mushroom growers or growing them yourself. Simply love them for what they are.

My favorite part of this course is the stories about fairies and my own imagination when it comes to the role mushrooms play in fairy lives.
