A path in the woods

The Green Path

"When I was studying for my degree in English literature and creative writing, I realized that I rarely felt good. And sometimes I felt really bad. I went to a doctor who said there was nothing wrong with me even though I could barely hold a pen to sign myself out. I realized I had to find another way. This is how I ended up on the green path."

Herbal Education

Leah is inspired by folk traditions using plants as medicine for the body, mind, and spirit. Leah's programs emphasize self-reliance, compassion, resilience, and multiculturalism. Developing relationships is a vital aspect of healing whether those relationships are with the self, family and friends, the earth and all of its inhabitants.

Becoming an Herbalist

Leah studied with dozens of teachers learning about plants from around the world. While studying for a masters degree in public health (MPH) she learned how to develop community programs. This led to the fusion of herbalism, education, folkways, and public health. The Trillium Center is a botanical sanctuary and school of natural healing arts at BLD farm in NE Ohio. Leah teaches herbal medicine to empower people as they enhance their natural abilities to heal through deep nourishment.
