In austere situations, plants offer dozens of ways to deal with first aid situations. This in-person 16-hour immersion training provides a comprehensive introduction to the possibilities of herbal first aid. Listen to stories, watch demonstrations, practice basic first aid assessment skills, and discuss strategies for dealing with emergencies. Each topic includes the use of herbs for common injuries and ailments.
Training includes supplies and practice making herbal first aid techniques so that everyone will put together herbal preparations to get a basic first aid kit started. Plus, learn some basic skills for using tinctures, salves, poultices, eye washes, lozenges, and more. The workshop will cover herbs for urinary issues, digestive issues, allergies, anxiety, bleeding, dental issues, bites & stings, burns, headaches, earaches, wounds, bruises, dehydration/heat exhaustion, eye issues, poison ivy, sprains, strains, and bruising.
